Tampa wedding DJ playing live saxophone for a bride during a beach wedding ceremony

Live sax by the shore

Let the ocean set the scene. Let the saxophone make it yours.

Imagine your entrance carried across the sand by live saxophone, the music meeting the breeze as your guests turn to see you. From the first arrival to sunset portraits, DJSaxman can bring a personal live soundtrack to the moments that matter most.

One night. Three energies.

A soundtrack with a pulse.

A wedding should move naturally—warm when it needs to breathe, electric when it is time to celebrate, and unmistakably yours all night.

01

Set the atmosphere

Music that welcomes your guests in and gives the room its first feeling.

02

Make the moment live

Live sax brings a human spark to the songs your guests already love.

03

Open the dance floor

A DJ-led celebration shaped around your crowd, your energy and your night.

Not a playlist. A performance.

The best of both worlds.

Live sax gives the room a signature moment. The DJ keeps the celebration moving. Together, they turn familiar songs into something guests can feel in real time.

Meet Wright

My first concert was Bruce Springsteen in 1980. The moment Clarence Clemons walked on stage, the crowd got so loud you could barely hear the saxophone — and right then I saw my destiny in front of me. They called him the Big Man. Rest in peace. I've got that rock n roll sax sound like Clarence had.

I spent the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s playing up and down the New Jersey and Maryland shores — original rock bands, top 40 bands, tribute bands — and hundreds of weddings and bar mitzvahs along the way. I moved to Tampa Bay in 2013, played the top jazz clubs and outdoor festivals, and never stopped playing weddings. Today I'm the saxophonist with Night Moves, Florida's premier Bob Seger tribute band, and in 2025 I formed Thoroughly Destroyed, the US number one George Thorogood tribute band.

The origin of DJSaxman

The Pioneer

Over 25 years ago, I came up with the concept of the hybrid DJ and live saxophone. I established DJSaxman around 20 years ago. Foreign scenes like Ibiza, where Jimmy Sax became popular playing sax at their events, came after I had already established the hybrid model.

The DJSaxman difference

You’re Getting Wright Himself.

When you hire DJSaxman, you’re getting me—Wright, the DJSaxman of Tampa. I’ve been doing this for decades. I’m not a DJ company calling around after you book to see which saxophonist happens to be available on your date.

Never missed a wedding in four decades.

With some DJ companies, the DJ and saxophonist may meet for the first time at your wedding. With DJSaxman, I am the DJ AND the saxophonist. I get to know you, spend time with you picking your songs, and dial in the feel and vibe you want for your wedding.

One performer. One plan. One seamless celebration.
