“I was a professional singer. Then, in 2002, singing in bars gave me throat cancer — and it took my voice.
Since then I've had 79+ procedures. Most people would have quit. I get it — there were days I wanted to.
But here's what I learned: the voice was never the whole thing. The joy was. So I kept showing up — smiling, entertaining, giving people a night to remember. I'm still here, still singing, still loving every minute of it.
